She’s known exactly which Laurel house she has wanted for her own from way back when she was just a little girl. Since then, she has been keeping an eye on it and dreaming of buying it when she grew up. For years, she dreamed about living in the “little yellow cottage” that’s located in the middle of Laurel. Now, the dream has come true and they moved into their dream home in 2008 after they got married. Since then, they have restored that 1925 house and created both a new story and a new home for themselves. Of course, a trip to Laurel wouldn't be complete without a stroll to see some historic homes.

Sanderson Farms retaliated against our coverage of the Burroughs case by pulling its sponsorship of Bobcat Jr., a publication that is aimed at promoting reading in our grade schools. Greg’s sister-in-law Hillary Burroughs is Sanderson Farms’ marketing director official and the company’s fleet of trucks is furnished by the Burroughs Company, owned by Greg’s uncle. It’s time that we admit to ourselves that the blacklight that has been cast upon us shows that all of us have specks of Katherine Sinclair’s blood on our hands. A couple that's moving back to Mississippi is looking for a spacious home for under $260,000 where they can host friends and throw parties. They have their heart set on one of the options, but it's out of their range, leaving them to either negotiate or settle on the home they can afford.

Without naming additional names, a random sampling of their nonsensical questions will follow. For example, when WDAM received details of a potential feature story from a viewer in Sandersville, a reporter openly asked, "Where's Sandersville?" What's worse? The next day, a newsroom manager asked the exact same question. My response to the manager's question was just three words long ("North of Laurel."); I punctuated the brief correct answer with a brief dirty look in that manager's direction.
A lifelong New York resident, De Niro sold his West Village townhouse of 37 years for $9.5 million in 2012. At the height of the pandemic, the “Goodfellas” actor relocated to his house in upstate New York. A female burglar was caught going through Robert De Niro’s Upper East Side townhouse early Monday — grabbing Christmas gifts from underneath the actor’s tree and playing with his iPad, law enforcement sources told The Post. Then there was the time a reporter was covering a health story. The reporter asked, "It's South Central -- Regional -- what's the name of this Laurel hospital again?" If a South Central Regional Medical Center team member overheard that nonsense, he or she would text his or her boss -- and the hospital might pull advertising from WDAM.
Is The Combe House up for sale?
Through the series, Erin and Ben have indeed put Laurel on the map. And since it's only a matter of time before people start planning to visit the small town (just look at all the folks trekking to Magnolia Market and Pioneer Woman Mercantile!), here's our guide to the Home Town filming location, complete with Erin and Ben's favorite local spots. Did I and others speak up about WDAM's lack of coverage of the saga? Some of us, in separate meetings where story ideas were shared, asked if there was anything new to the case.

The married couple restores Southern homes in Laurel, Mississippi. Mayor Deal said she never complained about Glammayer to an employee or City Council member, and the investigation didn’t find evidence of her doing so. Investigators did find that she called an unnamed city worker to inquire about the lack of landscaping around the town’s historic Rainbow Bridge, which made the employee feel pressured to perform work that wasn’t budgeted for. Deal said she had said she wasn’t calling as the mayor — just a concerned citizen — and volunteered to help. But City Councilman Clint Anderson said she’s always the mayor.

Ben and Erin Napier’s flagship show, “Home Town,” returned to HGTV for its seventh season on December 4. According to a press release from HGTV, season 7 will have 20 episodes, stretching into 2023. The season “spotlights the couple as they bring new life to outdated homes in their small town of Laurel, Mississippi, while navigating their busy family life,” according to HGTV. The popular series, starring home reno enthusiasts Ben and Erin Napier, is all about paying tribute to the American small-town life. Every episode highlights the couple's dedication to rebuilding and revamping the area's historic homes while helping out their neighbors in the process.

The town was reportedly chosen for the HGTV spinoff show after the series received 5,000 submissions representing 2,600 towns from across the country. According to officers, Aviles has 26 prior arrests and is described as one of the New York Police Department's "most prolific recidivist burglars." Aviles also had two active bench warrants, at the time of her arrest, for failure to appear in court. We'd love to hear eyewitness accounts, the history behind an article.
WDAM may be OK with sacrificing what is right in exchange for the almighty dollar, but the people who work at this newspaper are not OK with it. I know the history of corruption, abuse of power and the unsolved murders. We have received dozens of anonymous letters and phone calls about corruption and dozens more warning us that our lives are at stake. So when Greg Burroughs’ girlfriend is found dying with a bullet in her head, of course, as one of the “privileged,” he fully expected he would be the one taken care of. It’s why he called his best friend, Judge Kyle Robertson, before he called 911. It’s why the Burroughs family was allowed to clean up the crime scene.

Officer Keith Dowd verbally assaulted the driver, allegedly for speeding, and threatened another level of violence toward the driver in the event of further infractions. The city seriously considered firing the policeman, who later turned in his badge. To borrow a line from Former President Barack Obama, "Let me be clear." Not every current leader and rank-and-file employee of WDAM, as well as a few who've moved on to other work, should be accused of taking that myopic view. Still, as of the end of my WDAM days, too many people at the station, including leaders, are deeply caring about Hattiesburg, Petal and Oak Grove -- and not much else. And yes, we have first-hand knowledge that retribution is a real thing.
She also recommends a few easy and inexpensive ideas for renovating any room in your home with just fresh paint, throw pillows, and new rugs, as well as some new artwork and/or new mirrors for your walls. According to Southern Living, one other question that many audience members are asking is whether the homeowners on the show get to keep all of the beautiful furniture and accessories that go into their renos. Much of it is included in the reno budget, some pieces are already owned by the homeowners, and other items are on-loan from local shops and are tagged as such.
Her first career break involved moving to Southampton to work as a reporter for the local newspaper Daily Echo before she later joined GRV Media as a freelancer in 2020. She helped boost Reality Titbit website views by millions and was promoted to the site's editor in August 2021. If a new reality series is out on Channel 4 or ITV (Oh hey, I'm A Celebrity), then Celine's watching it. A serial burglar, with more than two dozen prior arrests, was caught inside of Robert De Niro's New York City townhouse early Monday morning as the Oscar-winning actor and his 10-year-old daughter slept upstairs, according to police.
Together with Ben's craftsmanship skills and Erin's creative eye as an artist, the two are unstoppable and wind up improving their town while maintaining its original local charm. Gale Robinson is a freelance writer who contributes regularly to clients on writing sites like HireWriters and Textbroker by writing blogs, press releases, web pages, reviews, and product descriptions. After that, she started dedicating her time to writing and affiliate marketing.
A newsroom manager questioned, "Oh -- who's he?" This newsroom manager had been on the job two months -- and, at that moment, couldn't instantly recognize Alex Hodge as Jones County's sheriff. Unfortunately, the Windermere shooting death of Katherine Sinclair that culminated in one of the most talked about trials in this county’s history has cast not a spotlight, but a blacklight on our home town. And, like a blacklight, it has illuminated all of the stains, blemishes and sinister spatter about our home town that we all knew existed yet most are too scared to even talk about in public. PresentHome Town is an American television series starring husband and wife team, Ben and Erin Napier, that premiered on January 24, 2016 on HGTV.
